On 12 November 2021, China Tianying received a notice of award from the tenderer Perusahaan Umum Daerah Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, confirming that the consortium formed by CNTY and PT Aka Sinergi Group of Indonesia has successfully won the contract for the waste treatment project in the southern service area of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta in Indonesia.
The service scope includes the treatment of waste in the southern service area of Jakarta, with a capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day and a term of 25 years from the commercial operation date, at a disposal fee of IDR 476,000 per tonne (approximately RMB 214 yuan per tonne). CNTY is the lead party of the consortium and will be responsible for the overall financing, EPC implementation and subsequent project operation and maintenance. PT Aka Sinergi will be responsible for the signing of the waste disposal franchise agreement, the PPA agreement and the approval of the environmental impact assessment and other related permits.
Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, CNTY has been taking overseas WtE projects as a gateway to promote the construction of green energies along "Belt and Road" countries. This project is another important achievement since the signing of the waste incineration project in the Maldives this October.
This will accumulate more global project construction and management experience for CNTY, and further enhance the competitiveness and influence of the brand in the international marketplace.
